Remember the Good Ol’ Days when the Dothan Eagle used to have a Hard-Hitting, Hard-Charging, Hard-Question Asking, Investigative News Reporting Staff❓No⁉️Neither do I‼️

The Dothan Eagle Dothan Alabama Houston CountyRemember the Good Ol’ Days when the Dothan Eagle used to have a Hard-Hitting, Hard-Charging, Hard-Question Asking, Investigative News Reporting Staff❓No⁉️Neither do I‼️
_________________________________________________
But I do remember when the best the Dothan Eagle seemed to be able to muster, was repeating the same line over and over, and over, and over again about former City of Dothan Police Department Chief, John C. White, recording what seemed like the village idiot, requesting that he not enforce certain law enforcement functions, and trying to keep passing that off as “news”
………………………………………………..
1. Sunday August 8 1999 4-A
………………………………………………..
Dothan City Commissioner Tim Smith resigned his position after (Dothan Police Department Chief John C.) White released recordings in which Smith pressured White to stop enforcing laws Smith considered harmless, such as gambling, bribery and prostitution
………………………………………………..
2. Friday October 29 1999 7-A
………………………………………………..
3. Tuesday November 2 1999 5-A
………………………………………………..
4. Sunday November 7 1999 4-A Opinion
………………………………………………..
5. Thursday December 2 1999 Front Page
………………………………………………..
6. Wednesday December 8 1999 Front Page

9. Sunday December 12 1999 4-A
………………………………………………..
10. Wednesday December 15 1999 10-A
………………………………………………..
But don’t worry Dothan, Alabama❗️

One day the City of Dothan might actually get a newspaper that has the Dothan National “nuts” to actually have “real” investigative reporting‼️

Now, where’s Rickey Stokes⁉️

The United States (American) Police State doesn’t care about the Bill of Rights: Amendment IV (Fourth Amendment)

Dothan Alabama Houston County EagleThe United States (American) Police State doesn’t care about the Bill of Rights: Amendment IV (Fourth Amendment)
_________________________________
Anyone who has watched the television show “Cops,” has probably seen law enforcement officials search “people,” without first obtaining a search warrant

The “excuse” police like to give is that they need to make sure the “people” don’t have anything on them which might “hurt” or “cause harm” to the officer, or that the “people” shouldn’t have on them

Based on this “excuse,” the Fourth Amendment might as well be ripped from the United States Federal Constitution, because all enforcement officials can claim that this “excuse” applies to “all people”

You might as well just forget about that “secure in their persons” part, America

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized

There is a two volume book at the Dothan Houston County Library System Main Library that does not seem to have seen much use

Maybe some of the City of Dothan Police Department should read it

Especially the section on Citizen Complaints (pages 166 – 172)
